A point worth emphasizing

I believe that while it's possible for our Reason to enhance our compassionate impulses (by allowing us to consider the needs of others whom we would otherwise never know directly), I also believe that we have limits that prevent us from granting to others what we grant to ourselves. Despite this, I have a great deal of hope concerning the Human Race. I think we'll make it, though evidence suggests a soteriological dependency outside of Reason. Sorry, Zardok. ;-)
